New England Broadcast and Cable Expo 2012 a JaDa Events Production, Features Latest in Broadcast Technology – Oct. 16, 2012 Rhode Island Convention Ctr., Providence, RI

The 15th annual Media Educators of America (MEOA) formerly known as the Video Educators of New England (VENE) fall conference, which is open to all individuals that are either involved or have an interest in video production and the use of media in an educational setting. Visit for details. This year’s conference will feature a keynote address by Steven Feinberg, Executive Director of the Rhode Island Film and Television Office.

Along with our broadcast & cable equipment manufacturers and representatives, we will have representation from a myriad of professional organizations and academic institutions including: New England Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE-NE), Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE), Mt. Wachusett Community College, Cayuga Community College (SUNY) and many more.

Both events offer a premier opportunity to learn, network and experience firsthand emerging trends that impact the professional broadcast and cable access communities, while affording attendees the opportunity to walk the expo floor and examine the latest technology relating to video production, video editing, digital media, video streaming, video on-demand, television studio production, distance learning, cable access studio, digital asset management, mobile broadcast and more.

Show organizers, Jan Haughey and David Scher, are pleased with the synergy the event has generated over the last few years among the various participating organizations and attendees that gathered for this National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) style expo. The convenience allowed those who cannot make the annual pilgrimage to Las Vegas an opportunity to spend time with manufacturers and local resellers right in their own backyards. This year is the first year the event has moved from Worcester. By locating the NEBCExpo 2012 epicenter in the Rhode Island/Connecticut area show organizers are opening new marketing areas to vendors and an opportunity to local audiences.

The 2012 event will be highlighted by a series of informative showcases open to all attendees throughout the day. Many professional organizations relevant to the broadcast industry have booths and are available to share information about activities and services. For students interested in pursuing a career in Media and Production, several colleges offering film and media studies have informational booths.

Next year’s NEBCExpo will be held on November 7, 2013 with exhibitor registration opening upon the completion of this year’s event. For more information on the expo and the organizations involved visit
