North American Interconnect Achieves C-TPAT Certification

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. Jan. 25, 2011 both Mexico

C-TPAT is an acronym for Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism. It is a voluntary government-private sector partnership created by U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in 2001 designed to strengthen supply chain and border security. An organization can apply for membership once it is able to provide evidence of adherence to the strict C-TPAT security criteria.

In addition to a more secure supply chain, NAI will enjoy other benefits from membership including:

  • Reduced CBP inspections resulting in fewer delays at the border
  • Priority processing for CBP inspections
  • Access to C-TPAT supply chain security training
