Offsitecare Resources Announces Implementation of Electronic Health Record in Philippines
OffSite Care Resources, Inc. (OSCR), the developer of HamoniMD, a cloud based electronic health record (EHR) has successfully implemented HarmoniMD in the Mary Johnston Hospital in Manila, Philippines. This implementation follows installations in Haiti and the Congo, where OSCR recently assisted the opening of a 4 bed ICU in Kolweizi in central Congo.
Locally, OSCR under the leadership of Dr. James Gude, provides telemedicine services to 7 hospitals in Fortuna, Sebastopol, Clear Lake, Willits, Ukiah, Fort Bragg and Healdsburg. According to Dr. Gude, OSCR has also provided medical consultations to the Congo using the Apple iPad for telemedicine consults.
‘Our implementation in Mary Johnston Hospital demonstrates that HarmoniMD can be readily implemented in hospitals with limited IT support and proves the value of a cloud based system that is intuitive and easy to use’ says Nick Smith, OSCR’s Chief Technical Officer. ‘Unlike almost every other EHR system, we built HarmoniMD from the ground up with the latest cloud technologies so we are able to leapfrog over legacy server based applications. This makes it ideal for hospitals like Mary Johnston, which is in one of the poor parts of Manila.’
Founded in 2007, OffSiteCare Resources provides telemedicine and electronic health record services to hospitals in Northern California from offices in Sebastopol.
