Product overview of the Codatron™ High Voltage Regulators
These regulators act like high voltage zener diodes, but do not exhibit the characteristics of them.
The I/V “knee” of our products is well-behaved from low nanoamperes to hundreds of microamperes over a wide range of temperatures, exhibiting no oscillation or negative resistance characteristics, and thus can tolerate bypass capacitors.
All of our high voltage regulators have been designed to be easily programmable to voltage(s) desired by the customer.
This aspect of the design has been used to derive our product tradename, Codatron™ because they can be coded to a given voltage.
Our product tradename was also designed to be as similar as possible to that of the well-known Victoreen Corotron™ and not have naming interference.
The Codatron™ product line consists of:

  •     Codatron™ HT: Designed for general purpose use in the -55°C (-67°F) to +177°C (350°F) temperature range, and include a small positive temperature coefficient to compensate decreasing photomultiplier sensitivity as temperature increases.
  •     Codatron™ HTA: Designed and tested for use over a wider temperature range, from     -75°C (-103°F) to +204°C (400°F), and also include the same small positive temperature coefficient to compensate decreasing photomultiplier sensitivity as temperature increases.
  •     Codatron™ HTZ: Initially designed at the request of a client that needed to have a reference voltage that would not substantially change over a reasonable temperature range, from -55°C (-67°F) to +177°C (350°F). The HTZ line was re-designed to create another similar product at the request of Sandia National Labs, and is a discontinued specialty design which technically is RoHS compliant even though it uses standard tin-lead solders so as to reliably accommodate the low end of a temperature range from -75°C (-103°F) to +125°C (257°F).
  •     Codatron™ HTZA: These regulators are a natural extension of the HTZ line for use in the -75°C (-103°F) to +204°C (400°F) temperature range.
