Fairfax Imaging Selects JNBridgePro to Accelerate Java Integration for .NET-Based Mail Order Pharmacy Solution Provider

BOULDER, Colo. Jan. 31, 2011

As a leader in forms and document processing, Fairfax Imaging is accustomed to integrating its NET-based software product into different customer environments. However, for a prospective client — a large mail-order pharmacy — its professional services team faced a new challenge: quickly deploy a fully integrated solution into the customer's Java-based enterprise within a matter of months.

Fairfax's Quick Modules is based on a pure .NET framework-based infrastructure, so the company employs a staff of developers with deep experience in Microsoft development tools. The mail-order pharmacy client, on the other hand, uses a third-party Java-based PBM system to track prescriptions, patient data and benefits information. To implement the Quick Modules software and provide the customer with a fully functional solution, Fairfax Imaging needed to integrate the PBM system's Java API with its .NET infrastructure —it needed an easy way to expose data from the client's Java-based system to the Quick Modules software stack.

Using proxy generation tools supplied with JNBridgePro, Fairfax Imaging's developers built proxy classes for the third-party Java API. The developers could then call the Java API via those proxies, incorporating them into the .NET code just as if they were native library calls. In this way, JNBridgePro streamlined an otherwise complex integration task and provided an easy way for Quick Modules to access the pharmacy customer's prescription, patient, and benefits information.

LONDON January 31, 2011

- Badoo is Creating a new Online Category of "Social Dating": a Hybrid of Social Networking and "Traditional" Online Dating.

- What Facebook is for Managing Existing Relationships, Badoo is for Making new Ones.

The four-year-old start-up is registering nearly 10m new users a month, making Badoo the planet's largest social network for meeting new people locally. It expects to reach 200m users next year. The "social dating" revolution has arrived!

Badoo is a global, multi-lingual, location-based, "social dating" network, focused on chatting, flirting and meeting new people. It has also now launched a Facebook app with huge success - already used by 25m people.

Badoo is rewriting the rules of online dating and meeting.

Bart Swanson

Second, the rise of geo-location apps, able to pinpoint a mobile user's location, and the spread of smart-phones means that there is also a shift from dating based on shared interests to dating based on location ("dating by satnav").

Third, this is prompting a shift in time horizons - from planning a date in a week's time to one in an hour's time, or right here and now.

"Online dating is no longer all about meeting a future spouse," says Swanson. &quot

LCDs Remain the Driving Force of the Indium Market

LONDON January 31, 2011

- Indium: Global Industry Markets and Outlook (9th Edition)

The Indium market saw fundamentals begin to improve in early 2010 with average annual increase in indium demand projected to increase by about 16% from 2010 through 2013.

Indium is a critical raw material for a number of developing information technology markets, although the most important is that for flat panel displays. Thin transparent films of indium oxide doped with tin (ITO) conduct electricity. These ITO films are central to a number of display technologies, notably liquid crystal displays and plasma displays. Demand for these flat panel displays has remained particularly strong in the computer monitor and television markets.

Flat panel displays, in addition to their predominant use in increasingly larger televisions, both LCD and PDP, have also found further widespread use in items such as calculators, watches, household goods, mobile phones, and GPS navigation systems. Furthermore, technological innovations in computers, including notebooks, and mini-notes have expanded the demand for flat panel displays in the computer end-use sector. However, use of flat panel displays is not limited to personal consumer applications. Non-consumer use in professional displays, classified as Digital Signage Displays, continues to increase.

This growth in indium demand has prompted a significant increase in recycling since the early 2000s. By 2006, it was estimated that secondary production had surpassed primary production of indium. At least 22 companies worldwide were reported to be recycling indium in 2009/10. The Japanese electronics industry generates a considerab
