Within professional photography there are workshops, conventions and online programs many people never hear about. There are photographers and manufacturers who should be in every photographer's network, but they remain unknown. There are new products, techniques and marketing concepts being introduced all the time, but there are too many sources to chase down for information.
In an effort to help bring more relevant information to more photographers, Skip Cohen has launched the new Photo Resource Hub. It's free with a constant flow of great information including a new podcast every ten days with a photographic industry icon; daily posts typically on marketing and business; monthly and long term events calendars and an already extensive list of great videos including interviews with Mary Ellen Mark, Gregory Heisler and classics from the 80's World of Photography series just to name a few.
"While we know there's no one site capable of providing photographers with everything they need, we’re going to do our best to provide “one stop shopping”. With help from the Bourne Media Group, the blog was built and ready to go in just four days! It's easy to navigate and visitors can immediately find what they're looking for," commented PRH's founder, Skip Cohen.
PhotoResourceHub launched at the end of May and already has a solid archive approaching 150 posts including thirty videos, multiple podcasts, articles and calendar events. The goal is to create one hub photographers can visit and learn one thing new, meet one more photographer or get the link to an important workshop or online event coming up in the future.
If there’s a topic any photographer needs help with or a change in focus they'd like to see they only need to email info(at)mei500(dot)com. Plus, sponsors of various photographic events are encouraged and reminded to contact the PRH staff with information on upcoming programs in order to keep the calendars up to date.
