Quiring Monuments, a family owned company specializing in unique, custom designed granite memorials is now giving families a way to share and preserve the stories of their loved ones’ lives through Living Headstones® – Internet Connected Memorials. Quiring is now offering QR code links that are placed on the headstones and memorials.
In order to provide this service, Quiring recently partnered with Making Everlasting Memories® (MeM®), whose patented technology allows cemetery visitors to scan the QR code with their smartphone and visit the customized online memorial of a loved one. Once on the customized mobile site, he or she can read the obituary, view photos, and leave personal text and voice messages for the family. Shared links on the mobile site also allow users to post the memorial content on their own social networking websites.
“We’re proud to now offer Living Headstones® products to help cemetery visitors know and learn about the lives of those who came before,” said David Quiring, President of Quiring Monuments. “Families today are looking for new ways to share and celebrate the memories of their loved ones and preserve this information for their children, grandchildren and even generations beyond.”
