With this appointment, Rentrak will further expand the company’s leading video-on-demand (VOD) and Advanced Media & Information (AMI) business internationally and with companies that go beyond the Cable, Satellite and Telco industry. As the leader in the space, Rentrak’s processing of VOD information from the equivalent of 80 million set-top devices everyday strategically positions the company to be working with the new and emerging "over the top" TV providers to move Rentrak’s VOD information into the buying process of television.
Wilson joins Rentrak from LogicLab where he served as the CEO and President. A division of Merkle LLC., LogicLab focuses on delivering customer data-driven targeting of direct marketing tools to the mass media buying and planning markets.
Prior to LogicLab, Wilson was the president at both Experian Research Services as well as Simmons Market Research Bureau. Earlier in his career, Wilson held numerous senior-level positions during his tenure at Scarborough Research Company. There he played a critical role in growing the TV station subscription base and helped the company market the value of targeted television campaigns to advertisers.
