Rochester Precision Optics, LLC (RPO) will discuss their latest developments in molding precision polymers, chalcogenide and oxide glasses for night vision and a wide variety of other applications at the 2017 SPIE Photonics West exhibition, Jan. 31-Feb. 2 in San Francisco.
RPO partners with a wide variety of clients, including government agencies and Fortune 500 companies. They provide design and optical engineering as well as high volume production of optical assemblies, precision molded optics, molded glass aspheres, IR optical lenses and other components.
RPO is focusing on their expertise in designing eyepieces and objectives at this year’s Photonics West show. The company has in-house capabilities to support fabrication of optical components from design and prototype to testing and production. Their expertise in lightweighting and molded aspheres significantly improves optical system performance.
“Our commitment to innovation and high volume manufacturing is exemplified in projects involving the design and production of lightweight custom assemblies using both glass and plastic precision optics,” said Lisa Belodoff, vice president of business development at RPO. “CNOD, our CMOS Night Observation Device, is a perfect example of this.”
