Roger Camp and Jamie King Launch Camp+King to Create ‘Conversation-Swell™’ For Brands

The agency has launched with an impressive roster of clients that includes Old Navy, Shaklee and project work for Yahoo!. Camp will serve as principal and chief creative officer while King will serve as the agency’s principal and chief executive officer.

Now, as Camp+King, they have created an agency that is as creative and nimble as a boutique while also having the global resources and reach of Havas.

Their goal is to drive growth for brands by creating what they call Conversation-swell™.  "Inspired by groundswell, Conversation Swell is the surge of support, approval or enthusiasm for a brand," said King. "It’s inspired by ideas, content or brand conversations and manifests in the form of virtual or real word-of-mouth advocacy for a brand. We believe this is the most powerful tool a brand can have to drive growth and it’s what our agency is all about."

Camp has won every major creative award many times over, including Best of Show at the Clios for an unprecedented two consecutive years.  He was named top art director in the country by Boards Magazine and has been featured on VH1’s Greatest Commercials of All-Time.  Camp also has the honor of winning more British D&AD awards than any American art director in the show’s 50+ year history. He currently sits on the One Club Board of Directors.

King has helped build some of the world’s most iconic brands including Beam, P&G, Starbucks, Kraft, and Walmart, to name a few.  A strategist by trade, he has been involved in six EFFIE award- winning campaigns – for advertising effectiveness. In 2010, King was named to Crain’s Chicago Business 40 Under 40 list.
