Among the most significant advancements that ECLIPSE provides is the ability to combine and disburse multiple benefit payments as a single payment, to accept or cancel online payments from employers, to automatically process ACH/check returns, and to merge data from multiple accounts into a streamlined member annual statement. ECLIPSE also features a Member Web Portal that provides online retirement/withdrawal applications and a benefit calculator for LAGERS’ 32,000 members.

The ECLIPSE project team overcame significant challenges to implement the system successfully over 36 months, like navigating a sea of complex business rules and performing multiple data migrations from a legacy system of numerous, disparate components. LAGERS’ atypical retirement plan options added another layer of difficulty.
