Sculpturra announces that it has received a US Patent on its digital designer styled piano. The piano was designed by Tom Van Rijn, the founder and President of US Yachts International, Inc. located in North Palm Beach, Florida. Sculpturra’s lead model, the X-2, has the outward appearance of a contemporary dining/console table measuring 25” x 63” – but there is a twist. The front portion of the unit folds down to reveal a full 88–key piano in a slide-out panel.
A complete lineup of new Sculpturra digital designer styled piano was launched at the winter NAMM show, which is the major trade show for the music industry. The patented piano line, based on two decades of R&D in “virtual piano” technology, is engineered to deliver concert grand-quality sound at a fraction of the price. This grand piano will be introduced as part of the world premiere of this line of Sculpturra pianos. The MSRP starts at $2,495.
Special attention was given to the quality of the keyboard, which was selected from designs by major piano manufacturers. The most outstanding results were obtained with the Yamaha P-155 piano keyboard, which in combination with the resonance of the Sculpturra designed tone chamber, was found to product exceptional tonal properties.
US Yachts International, Inc., which is an established Florida-based architectural and design firm since 1979 is the company credited with creating the Sculpturra Pianos. Tom Van Rijn was trained as an architect in his native Holland. Van Rijn has applied that background, in combination with extensive technical research, to the development of Sculpturra pianos. Mr. Van Rijn designs all Sculpturra models, as well as all future releases in-house.
US Yachts International, Inc. is located at 3630 Gardens Parkway, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida 33410. Their phone number is 561-776-7761 and email is info(at)sculpturra(dot)com.
