“The holidays mark the season to celebrate success, as well as to reach out and help others,” said Eric Holmen, senior vice president of marketing for Silverpop. “Silverpop is launching this sweepstakes so marketers can voice their challenges and hopes for the new year, in addition to supporting a terrific cause. We’ve worked with charity: water in the past, and we know from firsthand experience that it’s an exceptional organization.”
The campaign is geared toward marketers and will run exclusively on Silverpop’s Facebook page. There will be themed sweepstakes and for each new fan, the company will donate $1 to charity: water, with a maximum of $5,000—the average cost of a water project that will provide clean water to an entire community—over the course of the entire promotion. One lucky participant will be randomly selected at the end of each week to receive a $100 American Express gift card. Additionally, one winner will be selected at the close of each campaign to receive a new MacBook Air.
“Silverpop has been an incredibly valuable partner to us for nearly two years now, generously donating their platform and helping us maximize our email marketing efforts” said Paull Young, Director of Digital Engagement for charity: water. “We’re very grateful for their continued support, including this timely campaign aimed at raising enough funds to build a water project.”
In five years, charity: water has provided access for 2 million people in 19 countries to clean and safe water projects such as drilled wells, spring protections, rehabilitations and BioSand filters.
