Bat Blue Networks announced the formation of its corporate Advisory Board with three industry luminaries as its founding members.
CLIFTON, NJ, October 14, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ — Bat Blue Networks, www.batblue.com, announced the formation of its Advisory Board with three industry luminaries as its founding members. Bat Blue Networks, a next generation security in the cloud company, welcomes Dr. Hossein Eslambolchi, Steve Katz and Larry Blakeman, as founding members to its advisory board.
Dr. Eslambolchi holds over 1,000 world-wide patents, was the former CIO of AT&T and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer for Cyberflow Analytics, a next generation security analytics company designed for the massive operational needs of the IOT world. During his time at AT&T, Dr. Eslambolchi filled many roles including President and CEO of AT&T Labs, President and CEO of AT&T Global Network Operations, CTO and CIO of AT&T, as well as a member of AT&T’s governing Executive Committee.
“Bat Blue has developed advanced cloud security technology that is both innovative and elegant. It addresses one of the industry’s biggest challenges today; security for the large and varied number of distributed compute and access assets that organizations use,” said Dr. Eslambolchi. “I consider Bat Blue as the technology leader in the cloud security space with their unique Global Security Abstraction Layer technology.”
Mr. Steve Katz is a security industry veteran and the first ever Chief Information Security Officer, serving in the role for Citigroup and JP Morgan. Today Mr. Katz serves as an executive advisor for Deloitte and Kaiser Permanente.
“The Bat Blue team has completely re-thought the security delivery model from the ground up,” said Mr. Katz. “The constant barrage of bad news is an indication that the security industry has to evolve – Bat Blue is playing a significant role in leading that evolution.”
Mr. Larry Blakeman is the former CIO of MetLife and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for QuaEra Insights. Prior to his time as CIO, Mr. Blakeman held several other senior IT management roles at MetLife and at Dun & Bradstreet. He also was a co-founder and Managing Partner for S&W Consulting Group.
“The security methods and technologies used to date have proven both unsustainable and ineffective, and as IT infrastructure becomes more distributed, we will see this challenge amplify,” said Mr. Blakeman. “Bat Blue represents the simplest, most agile and sustainable approach to securing today’s cloud and mobile platforms.”
Bat Blue’s Cloud/Sec technology delivers a comprehensive Cloud Security-as-a-Service solution that functions as a Global Security Abstraction Layer (Global SeAL). Cloud/Sec protects all of an organization’s Brick & Mortar, Cloud & SaaS, and Mobile devices under one security umbrella. Cloud/Sec is a comprehensive security platform that supports all ports, protocols and applications, which means that it can function as a complete security solution, without any of the limitations of proxy-based cloud security technologies. Leveraging Bat Blue’s proprietary “Internet Wormhole” technology, Bat Blue eliminates the Cloud performance penalty of traditional security products and tier 1 ISPs.
“It is both exciting and an honor to have such luminaries as Dr. Eslambolchi, Mr. Katz, and Mr. Blakeman join the Bat Blue team,” said Babak Pasdar, President & CEO of Bat Blue. “We are extremely fortunate to benefit from their profound knowledge, years of experience and deep industry relationships. These will prove invaluable to Bat Blue’s long term growth and success.”
