Thefuture.fm changes the way DJs and consumers share and listen to music while ensuring the artists whose songs are used in the mixes are compensated. The platform’s proprietary fingerprinting and rights flow-management technology, MixSCAN, enables automated rights and royalty distribution to copyright holders. Member of BMI, SoundExchange, ASCAP, SESAC, and NARM, Thefuture.fm platform is the first phase of a multi-tiered approach to monetizing the mixtape for the music industry. It opens access for consumers to easily and legally find, share and enjoy mixtapes, while offering a liability-free way for DJs to promote themselves and brands to leverage their talents through the Web, mobile or at live events. At launch subscriptions will be free with near term plans for revenue streams in premium, mobile and brand supported offerings.
