Thomas P. Woerner Named Senior Vice President, National Sales for

NEW YORK Jan. 18, 2011

Mr. Woerner founded Vergrandis, a marketing consultancy specializing in brand strategy for media organizations in June of 2009. As the Publisher of Brandweek, Mr. Woerner was responsible for a comprehensive editorial content development and delivery strategy, and all revenue generation activities.

"As Publisher of Brandweek I became distinctly aware of the challenges facing brand marketers," said Mr. Woerner. "In particular, brands are tasked with making their own messaging relevant amidst the billions of conversations already taking place about them online, particularly in social media. What attracted me to was their unique ability to help marketers engage consumers in meaningful conversations relevant to their brands, on both the local and national level."

Prior to joining Brandweek, Mr. Woerner was the vice president of Global Sales and Marketing for CMP Media, a multi-platform media company delivering content relevant to all points of the information technology purchase process. Tom’s media experience also includes associate publisher roles at Entrepreneur magazine and Scholastic’s Home Office Computing magazine.
