It is designed for use as a packing mechanism, USP, variable frequency control, electrical control and high performance digital motor control (DMC) system. The evaluation board directly connects with one or two DC brush/brushless servomotors, AC asynchronous motors, AC permanent-magnet synchronous servomotors or stepper motors to form a digital servo-motion control system.
It belongs to GAO’s TI DSP Evaluation Board family of products. This low voltage servomotor driver, model MCK2812-LV, is equipped with a special driver chip and a 20 A/200 V MOSFET tube protecting against over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage and over-heating. It boasts an on-board 30 W rebooting power switch which is able to supply a large current for a safer system, an on-board filter to reduce EMI interference according to FCC-15 standard and on-board precise resistors to perform three-phase current sampling with accuracy.
The evaluation board utilizes a 24 to 80 V DC power supply that offers a maximum peak value current of 10 A and an output power of up to 400 W. It has an input interface for incremental photoelectric encoder signal and hall sensor signal. In addition, it also provides a PWM frequency of up to 40 kHz.
