Other new features include the ability to handle up to 26 different insulin types, copy graphs to clipboard and export data as a tabbed text file, browser-based online help, and auto-save in case of a computer crash. Frank Reiff has updated MacBreakZ!3.01, an application that helps remind regular computer users that it’s time to take a break. Based on your activity levels, the software suggests breaks at regular intervals and offers stretching exercises, pictures demonstrating the stretches, and additional information about how to be ergonomically correct. The idea is to prevent (or help recover from) repetitive-stress injuries and focus on problems that come with too much computer work. MacBreakZ! is $24.95 new, or $9.95 for an upgrade from a previous version. The latest version fixes a rainbow color effect with Mac OS 10.1.

IPNetSentry keeps your Mac safe from intruders. Macintosh users with cable modem, DSL, or other connections that are often unattended for long periods of time will be protected from hackers as the program watches for suspicious behavior and bans intruders via a filter. The software requires Mac OS 7.6.1 or later and Open Transport 1.1.1 or later. The new version fixes a window-sized error that previously prevented registration fields from being displayed. The software costs $35.

Satori Publishing has released a new program that lets you analyze your diet. Cybernetic Dietician, with a database of 2,400 food items, shows you how much nutrition you’re getting from your diet, including calories, carbohydrates, proteins, and other nutrients. A 10-day trial version of the software is available for free; it costs $15.95 to download the full version, which requires OS 8 or higher.

RailHead Design has released SpamStopper X 1.3, a utility that prevents spammers from harvesting e-mail addresses from your Web sites. The program works with OS X 10.1, but another version is compatible with OSes 8.6 and 9. The author allows you to download it for free but will accept $7.50 donations. Another free app by the same author, called SpamReporter, automates the task of deleting and reporting spam.
