New software helps respite care industry better manage caregiver and client services.
Sacramento, California (PRWEB) October 18, 2014
Citing a unique opportunity to meet the specific needs of the growing respite care industry, UCP of Sacramento and Northern California (UCP) and its for-profit startup, Mission and Resource Solutions (MARS), today announced the launching of its remote care software program, RespiTrackTM. Previously marketed under the name MARS, RespiTrack is a web-based, remote worker tracking software program that helps respite care agencies manage caregiver and client service operations more efficiently.
“We have a deep understanding of respite care operations and felt other agencies could benefit from our proven respite tracking software,” said Doug Bergman, UCP’s Chief Executive Officer and Vice President of MARS. “With RespiTrack, we have parlayed our passion for respite care into useful technology for care providing organizations in this industry.”
The need for respite care in the U.S. continues to grow, especially as caregiving Baby Boomers age and require sufficient and regular amounts of relief from the stress of providing primary care to family members. RespiTrack is used primarily by agencies that provide for-fee, in-home respite care through employed or contracted remote workforces.
“Non-profits can be slow to embrace new technology, and UCP of Sacramento and Northern California was a prime example,” said Bergman. “Once we saw the tremendous results we achieved from using our newly developed software in place of our current paper-based system, we knew we had to share this technology with other respite care providers in our industry. Ultimately, our goal is to leverage sales of RespiTrack into more revenue for UCP so that we can serve more clients and offer more services within the region.”
Mission and Resource Solutions was founded in 2013 by UCP of Sacramento and Northern California as a for-profit enterprise that helps non-profits use technology to more effectively increase revenues, reduce expenses and enhance services to their communities. UCP originally developed the software program in 2008 to manage its own burgeoning respite care program, resulting in revenue and client growth that exceeded 100 percent.
