Bloxx TVT is a real-time Web content analyzer (http://www.bloxx.com/products/truviewtechnology.php) that uses patent pending contextual analysis techniques to categorise Web pages as they are requested, which addresses the limitations of URL databases, keyword scanning and black and white lists.
TVT SDK will enable Web filtering database OEM suppliers or Web filtering suppliers to quickly develop a customised Web content categorisation application. The application can be easily integrated into an existing Web filtering solution to provide real-time Web content analysis. The application can be used on its own as the only categorisation layer, or alongside existing categorisation layers to provide multi-layered content filtering.
Andy Kellett, Senior Analyst at Ovum said, “Bloxx TVT adds analytical intelligence to traditional Web filtering that can take the accuracy of real-time content inspection up to higher levels. Based on each organisation’s Web-protection requirements, TVT can be used to check each requested Web page and classify each user request into pre-defined categories. TVT brings a functional perspective to the Web-protection marketplace that does not exist in many traditional filtering products, making it the type of OEM offering that can add real value.”
“There’s a misconception in the marketplace that URL filtering or off-appliance cloud based categorisation is delivering the level of protection against inappropriate or productivity-draining Web content that customers are demanding,” said Eamonn Doyle, Chief Executive Officer at Bloxx. “Bloxx TVT provides highly accurate analysis and categorisation of a requested Web page at the point of request and before it is displayed or blocked, providing an additional layer of protection for users and networks. The launch of TVT SDK now provides a quick and cost-effective way for Web security vendors to add proven real-time filtering capability to their products and services.”
