MogoTXT, Inc., a licensee of NFL PLAYERS, the licensing arm of the NFL Players Association, today announced the launch of MogoBall, an easy to play fantasy football game accessible via Facebook, Apple iPhones, Apple iPads, and Android devices that allows users to compete with their friends, and other fans to win valuable prizes such as autographed helmets, jerseys and footballs.
Unique to MogoBall is the ability to play fantasy football against real NFL players and watch these players interact as they compete with each other to be the best player in their fantasy league. Also unique to MogoBall is the opportunity to win great sports memorabilia and other prizes each week.
“We are thrilled to be launching MogoBall now after a year and a half of development and preparation,” said Andrew Won, MogoTXT’s Chief Executive Officer. “We are delighted to be able to offer an awesome game experience to NFL players and fans alike."
“I can’t wait to beat Larry Fitzgerald, Greg Jennings, Devin Hester, Randy Moss, Scott Fujita, Jonathan Vilma, Lorenzo Alexander, Hunter Hillenmeyer and my old teammate Mike Wallace this season!” said 4-time Pro Bowl wide receiver, Super Bowl MVP and NBC television commentator Hines Ward.
MogoBall blends the best elements of social gaming and fantasy football to create a dynamic football experience for both hard-core and casual fans alike. MogoBall users select fantasy teams against a salary cap, manage their teams throughout each week, then face-off head-to-head against their Facebook and MogoBall friends using real-time fantasy football scoring to determine the outcome. Players can increase their salary cap by playing mini-games, upgrading equipment via in-app purchases, and facing off against other players in weekly matchups.
Players can also join and compete against real NFL players as the twelfth member of “Celebrity Leagues.” In addition to bragging rights, MogoBall users will be able to win prizes, such as top-flight autographed memorabilia, for being one of the top players in the game.
“Come play @MogoBall w @Wallace17_daKid,” said Mike Wallace, wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"I can't wait to get into my 2nd season of Mogoball. Last year's beta test of Mogoball was both addictive and fun and now that they've made it even easier for me to play against other athletes, I'm excited to claim my rightful place as champion of Mogoball," said Jonathan Vilma of the New Orleans Saints.
MogoBall is designed to attract the attention of a wide array of gamers, from the most hardcore NFL fans to the most casual gamers, by creating an easy, highly social and immersive football experience that can be enjoyed via Facebook, iPhone, iPad and Android devices.
“The best part is that it is easy to learn and start playing right away,” says Cleveland Browns Linebacker Scott Fujita, “MogoBall allows me to connect and engage with my friends and fans in an all new way.”
