Zipsec announces secure file transmission web service

Australia April 25, 2012 Craig Broadbear

"The objective was to build a system that was secure as possible without requiring any special software or hardware on the sender and receiver machines.  We achieved that.  Zipsec is like a courier company.  It ships data from A to B.  But it’s more secure and no one can peek inside and see what’s being shipped.  It’s more secure than even secure email, without all the bother of digital certificates.  It’s more secure than fax."

The recipients do not have to sign up to Zipsec. All they need is an email address and a mobile phone. When someone sends them a document, they receive an email and a text message.  Both are needed to gain access to the document.
